In these troubled times, many things are uncertain.

But we want you to feel safe. We have therefore relaxed our cancellation conditions for your 2021/2022 holiday:

 

The following cancellation conditions apply to bookings made via our own website or to a personal offer addressed to you

(Attention: Platforms such as booking.com, farm holidays, etc. have their own prices and cancellation conditions!):

NO cancellation fee up to 1 month before your arrival date

30 days to 8 days before arrival ... 30%

from 7 days before your  Arrival day and no-show ... 90%

 

The percentages refer to the total overnight price

(excluding local tax, electricity and cleaning costs)

These conditions apply to bookings received, paid for and confirmed by us between May 19th and December 31st, 2021. Outside of this period, the provisions stipulated in Section 5 of the General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel Industry of 2006 apply to the cancellation of the accommodation contract - cancellation guidelines. Have we piqued your interest?

This is how we do it:

  1. How to get an offer: 
    Contact us at any time (contact form, e-mail, telephone, various news services). We will create a suitable, personal offer for you. Please tell us your planned travel time and how many people (children and adults) would like to travel with you.
     

  2. How to get a reservation:
    Do you like your offer? Booking is easy with the link provided. Click, fill out, book travel cancellation insurance and you're done. You will receive a confirmation via email.
     

  3. How to get the deposit confirmation:
    After booking, you have 2 weeks to transfer the deposit to our bank account.

     

  4. This is how you receive the binding booking confirmation:
    After receipt of the deposit, you will receive the legally binding booking confirmation by e-mail. Now it's time to wait and look forward to your vacation.
     

  5. How to make a cancellation:
    Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 30 days before arrival. Please contact us by e-mail and give us your bank details so that we can transfer your deposit back to you.

     

  6. To cancel within the last 30 days:
    Please contact us. Now 30% of the total overnight price
    (excluding local tax, electricity and cleaning costs) is due.  Many cases of cancellation are covered by the European travel insurance. Did you think of that? You will receive an invoice from us that you can present to the insurance company. 
    If you cancel free of charge (e.g. border closure, official ban on accommodation), please give us your bank details so that we can transfer your deposit back.

     

  7. To cancel within the last 7 days:
    Please contact us. Now 90% of the  total overnight price  (excluding local tax, electricity and cleaning costs). If you have taken out travel cancellation insurance, please contact them. Many reasons for cancellation are accepted (accident, illness, quarantine, etc.) You will receive an invoice from us asking you to transfer the remaining amount. You can present this invoice to the insurance company.
     

  8. Here's how to proceed if you don't report by 8 p.m. or don't arrive:
    are you late? Let us know. Basically, your holiday apartment is reserved for you until midnight. If you do not contact us and you do not start your holiday with us, this is considered a "no-show" for us and we will charge you 90% of the price
      total overnight price  (excluding local tax, electricity and cleaning costs).
    Should you unexpectedly arrive one day later, please let us know so that we do not rent your apartment to anyone else.

Other important information about cancellations:

 

Refund warranty:

In the event of a border closure in Austria or an official hotel closure or lockdown*, you can, even at short notice, at any time  cancel free of charge.  

What options do you have then:

  1. You can rebook your holiday with us at Ferienhof Hintergrabenbauer for another period (subject to the conditions applicable there) free of charge. Your deposit will remain and will be credited for the new period.

  2. You can cancel your holiday with us free of charge. In this case we will transfer the deposit paid back to you. Please give us your bank details.

*A lockdown is a certain period of time determined by the authority according to their criteria. (e.g. in the 1st lockdown, the accommodation of private guests was prohibited between March 16th and May 29th). Attention : at the beginning of a lockdown, the end is usually uncertain. Cancellation costs could arise if your booking is outside the specified period and you could have started your trip.

 

 

Further questions about COVID 19 or quarantine:

  • What if I cannot start my holiday because you are ill yourself, have tested positive for COVID or have to be in quarantine because of a relative living in the same household?
    Here we recommend the cancellation insurance of Europäische Reiseversicherung. You can easily complete this when booking. You will receive an invoice from us that you can present to the insurance company. This is also possible later at any time - please note: the insurance is then only valid after 10 days!
     

  • There is a risk of a quarantine of x days when you return home:
    Unfortunately, this is not an insured cancellation case. Please find out about the official instructions in good time and as quickly as possible, possibly also from your employer
     

  • Question: A travel warning has been issued for Austria, Upper Austria or the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems. What now?
    A travel warning does not constitute a ban. As long as there is none  If there is a closure or a ban, a trip is possible and therefore unfortunately not a free reason for cancellation.

 

  • Question: Some leisure facilities, restaurants etc. are not fully open and therefore we would like to cancel our holiday.
    Answer: Unfortunately, this is not a free cancellation either. You are free to withdraw from your accommodation contract at any time under the above conditions.
     

  • Question: I think I have Corona, my test result is still pending.
    Answer: The cancellation costs are covered by Europäische Reiseversicherung's travel insurance.

     

  • Question: My child tested positive, so we have to go into quarantine.
    Answer:
    The cancellation costs are covered by Europäische Reiseversicherung's travel insurance.
     

  • Question: A guest stays with us during his vacation  tested positive.
    Answer: IMPORTANT stay at your vacation home and call 1450. Arrange a time and place for a PCR test. You will then receive an official notification about your quarantine regulations etc. Follow the instructions of the authority. Please inform us now at the latest. Depending on your state of health and to protect us and other guests, we ask you to start your journey home as soon as possible.
    Are you insured? The costs for a vacation break or an unforeseen extension (cap) will be covered. Please inform yourself depending on the insurance package.
